This summer I had the pleasure of working on a castle wedding- yep thats right a castle! Jeannie and Steve tied the knot in grand masquerade style at Castle Farms in Charlevoix Michigan. Traveling for weddings is so much fun, but does require some extra planning on my part. I love to see new places and work with new wedding vendors. Today I’m excited to share some of the details from their big day.
When you get married in a castle you go big or go home. Jeannie and Steve embraced having a theme celebration from gorgeous leather masks for the bride and groom to a courtyard cocktail hour. We used rich tones and dramatic linens to help create a space fit for a King (and Queen!). The romance factor was at an all time high with deep jewel tone florals including five thousand rose petals.
Jeannie was a glam, gorgeous bride and Steve, complete in a custom tailcoat, was her prince. I loved working with this pair to sort out all of the details and design in a style that I often don't get to explore. They selected the most adorable cupcakes with a petit cutting cake that Cre8tive Cupcakes was able to prepare gluten free for our bride. The day was a product of hard work by a great vendor team- I'm just sad that I was the one traveling because I won't have the chance to work with them more often.
Congratulations to a wonderful, madly in love with each other couple!
